The first batch of Ms. Earth Philippines candidates was launched at Yoshinoya, Robinsons Galleria branch.

Philippines still has a lot to offer, our beauty is unique and caring for Mother Earth is still an advocacy we must continue to pursue. Filipina's should remember that our beauty is not defined by our skin color, I've seen true blue morenas on this first batch and hoping more of them on the next ones, we shouldn't be ashamed of our natural skin color, it has been one of our greatest assets in international pageants, go Philippines!

As bloggers, we were also given the opportunity to choose our Top 3 picks, it was hard, so we can't imagine the work of the judges come coronation night. So, excited to know our Top 3 from this Batch?

Congratulations: (In no particular order ha)
1. Ms. Villasis- Pangasinan
2. Ms. Kidapawan City
3. Ms. Pasig City

MANILA, April 14, 2015 – The path to greatness is at hand as global technology innovator LG Electronics is set to globally launch its much-awaited flagship LG G4 on April 28 and 29 of this year.

With G4’s predecessor, LG G3, bagging the “Best Smartphone Award” at the Mobile World Congress just a month ago, LG has its fans gripping at the edge of their seats, leaving only subtle hints on what the newest smartphone superstar has in store.

Based on the global teaser that LG released, the G4 is set to change the game aesthetically. The invite creates the impression that the G4 will drive away from its signature sleek metallic look and advance to the sophisticated feel of stitched leather.

What can also be taken from the global invite is that LG G4’s rear camera will be the first to sport an aperture level of f/1.8, the lowest aperture set for any mobile device to date. For the aspiring and avid phone-tographers, this innovative technology will let the lens take in more light, leading to even more stunning picture quality and crystal-clear photos even when taking action shots or moving photos any time of the day.

This is backed up by the leading global components and materials manufacturer LG Innotek, claiming that this is the most advanced technology available for any smartphone out in the market today.

With the countdown left to days until the global unveiling of the G4, LG launches the official teaser video online giving the world a sneak peek of greatness that has yet to come.

NESTEA is one of our favorite drinks to beat the summer heat is once again going to Boracay on April 30 to May 3 for it's 18th run. Are you there too? If you are, make sure to visit their booths for fun games,  volleyball activities, parties and clean up! I'm a bit sad that we went to Boracay last March and won't be able to experience what Nestea Beach has to offer for everyone who will be there.

Here are the upcoming activities happening on Labor Day Break in Boracay (#LaBoracay)

1)NESTEA will bring in the best and today's most popular volleyball players for the Nestea Refresh Beach Volleyball Competition and, for the first time ever, the Nestea Beach Volleyball Fantasy Match.
 - For the new Nestea Beach Volleyball Fanasy Match, a total of eight top volleyball players in the country will compete and participate in the Fantary Match which will take place on May 1 to May 2 in front of Boracay Beach Chalets.

2)NESTEA Beach's Refresh Lounge will be available along White Beach to offer free Nestea drinks and a refresh mobile charging station for relaxing and lounging moments with friends. There will also be paraw sailing and beach massages that consumers can avail of for every purchase of the Nestea Beach All-Access Band or a Nestea Beach Pitcher. It's definitely the best way to chill amidst all the LaBoracay activities. Nestea Refresh Lounge will be situated in front of Beachcomber (Station 1) and Le Soleil de Boracay (Station 2).

3)With its long-running advocacy to preserve local beaches, Nestea Beach continues its Love The Beach campaign in Boracay. Nestea Beach urges everyone to "Show The Love" by encouraging students and young adults to join the Boracay clean-uo on May 2. Consumers may also "Share The Love" for the beach by donating to the cause. For every Nestea pitcher that will be sold during LaBoracay, part of the proceeds will go to the coral reef restoration project of Boracay Foundation Inc.

4)Known to hold the coolest parties in Boracay Island, Nestea Beach kicks off with the Nestea Summer Plunge Party on April 30 at Tides Roof deck, accompanied by beats from the hottest names in the party scene like DJ Nina, DJ Ludwig Van Beat, and DJ Ron Poe. The opening party will be followed by the exciting Nestea Secret Party on May 1 at an exclusive soon-to-be-revealed location. To get special passes to the party, guests should retweet the #NESTEASecretParty event invite posted by @NESTEAph on Twitter.

For more information visit http://www.nestea.com.ph

Joining in the fun of #MyNesteaBeach and LaBoracay are the Ambassadors namely:

Daniel Matsunaga for Nestea Beach Parties
Gretchen Ho for Nestea Refresh Beach Volleyball
David Guison for Nestea Beach Love The Beach
Lissa Kahayon fro Nestea Beach Refresh Lounge

Kapitolyo Pasig is now known as a place for people who would love to have some food trips with different variations, We live within the area and has been seeing the developments and changes for the past years and I must admit, it gets exciting whenever I get to see something new every time I get the chance to explore the neighborhood.

Locavore is one of our newest discoveries, located at Brixton street, near Pioneer Center, one would think and question why it is not located at the main food street that Kapitolyo was first known for, but they actually have a good location, a very wide area for parking space, not too much noise from cars and other vehicles since the road is kinda private plus having to party without disturbing other residents and establishments. The place is also spacious enough to accommodate those who want to have a peaceful dinner and chat on the side, and also a place for those who would like a few drinks and smoking area to go together with their meals and natural air outside.

Let us now move on with the food, the main course of this post lol! A little trivia, most of their raw products are organic especially the vegetables, but the original taste is definitely still there plus some were de-constructed for a different take, hence it is still that Filipino food we actually have grown to love.

MANGGA SINGKAMAS BAGOONG

- As simple at it is, our favorite vendor type of food is available and served in a cute way, dip yours from either bagoong, suka or chili salt.

STREETFOOD PLATE

- It is what it is, streetfood galore of Kikiams and Fishballs and Squidballs and Tok-nenengs! You'll love the presentation and putting this together making it look sosyal na tusok tusok food is a plus.

SIZZLING OYSTER SISIG

- We haven't tried Oysters so this is our first, and guess this one is good being it is in Sisig form with yummy spices, a great combination for some beer.

BONELESS LECHON BELLY

- Crrrrrunchy! Yes you may worry that this might be too sinful with all those fat and grease, but this one is not, just the equal amounts of meat, fat and skin, no need to worry about it.

TORTANG TALABA

- The only Torta we are familiar with is the Talong (eggplant), so this was once again new for us, but this instantly bonded with our taste, just like eating a regular Torta but with some surprise Talaba inside.

GINATAANG KALABASA

- This is super tasty, the gata is blended well and malinamnam, it was heaven for us, this was one of our favorites and we really loved the taste of Gata, there's something about it that makes us want some more.

SIZZLING SINIGANG

- Who doesn't love Sinigang, it is a staple ulam in every household, may it be pork, fish or beef. Locavore made it different by putting it on a sizzling pot with all of its goodness with it. This is good but we personally still love the soup that goes with the original Sinigang. But that is just us, go ahead and try it because this is their best seller and it taste good as well naman.

DINUGUANG LECHON

- A new way to enjoy your Dinuguan with the crunchiness of the Lechon, surprisingly this pair is unique and gives excitement in every bite.

MACS BONELESS CHICKEN

- The Mister loved this one, he is a fan of boneless chicken kind of dish, this is tasty as well and is best with some beer too.

KARE-KARE WINGS

- On the wings of love, is what you'll feel when you get to try this dish, all the love from your original Kare-Kare is rolled up on these wings and every bite can make you want to finish the whole serving, excitement in ever bite. Obviously this is another favorite on our list.

SUGPO CON MAYONESA

- Sugpo pa lang you'll know that this will be great, drenched in butter with lots of garlic is our heaven, and oh you wouldn't mind the price since the serving is good for around 3 people, hindi ka lugi as they say, and yes to another favorite of ours.

TORTA MANGGA

- Among the desserts that were served is was our favorite, not too sweet, loving the tanginess of the mangga plus the size is good enough to share, other desserts are good too but too sweet for us, maybe best for those who extremely love sweets.

So there you go, Mister and Misis Food Love at Locavore in Kapitolyo Pasig, visit them and you won't regret it.

For us, here's our top 3 favorites:
1. Sugpo Con Mayonesa
2. Kare-Kare Wings
3.Ginataang Kalabasa

But don't take our word for it, they still have a lot of dishes that you can try and enjoy, rate it yourself too! Servings are actually good for sharing with family and friends so you get to order a lot and taste them all! Enjoy your visit.

Moshi Moshi! I think it means hello, and growing up, that is the only Japanese word that I am familiar with. In all honesty I am not really into Japanese food, when Ramen hit the Metro I was one who of maybe a few didn't bother to try, I am okay with cup noodles and instant one's that can be cooked in just less than 5 minutes, and also I was afraid to spend my money for Ramen and would eventually go home feeling upset. So when I was invited to have a taste of an authentic Ramen from Ramen Daisho, I immediately said yes. Finally I can get to try a Ramen that is cooked from scratch (not instant haha) and having it for free like free trial kind is of course a bonus.

Ramen Daisho is actually one jeepney or fx taxi from our home, they are located at Shaw Blvd., near Pure Gold Shaw. Upon entering, you will be greeted by the staff and it is not a Moshi moshi kind of greeting, I am not sure if they are required to learn the Japanese language before they were hired but oh well their greeting sounded authentic. We were ushered to our seats and then we were asked to choose from I think five kinds of Ramen, and for every kind I'd ask if it was spicy (coz I thought all Ramens were spicy and I am not a fan period) . Ramen Daisho actually has set meals which includes a bowl of Ramen that could be for sharing, 3pcs of Gyoza, a salad and unlimited tea (which I loved, I had like about 5 glasses) and a cup of fried Japanes rice (my diet was totally wrecked).

My co-bloggers ordered the other flavors so as we could try to taste all of them, okay let me explain why it is as if I am not giving exact details here, my mobile phone gave up on me recently and all my photos, notes and drafts were there hence the lack of information, I am just merely relying on my knowledge during that lovely Japanese dinner, I hope to retrieve those files soon but for now I could at least post photos coming from the photographer (credits).

The Ramen was served in a large bowl and truly can be shared between 2 to 3 persons (depending on one's appetite). The soup was so tasty, the noodles were firm, the egg was half cooked but perfect for me, the meat goes well with the soup, but actually everything blended in one bowl of pure goodness and a really comfort food. This I think is best after a long day's work, after school or just catching up with family and friends. We were inside a function room enough for a group to actually eat and have chitchats on the side, not too big but it was cozy and you could have it reserved for your group without having to avail of some expensive packages or deals, all you need is to call. But Ramen Daisho's Ramen were not all soup based, they have this one dish that is dry, kinda like Yakisoba, and yes that was my favorite of all and yes it was not my order haha, but my friend was very generous enough to let me taste it a couple more times if you know what I mean.

So there you go my first Ramen experience at Ramen Daisho, I was super full that night, actually we also had some Q&A time with the owners who were pure Japanese, good thing they had an interpreter whew, but they were so kind and it was cute that they tried to speak English and some Filipino terms, again, my apologies my Q&A notes were not yet retrieved, but once I get hold of them this story will be updated, for now this is what I can share with you, please visit Ramen Daisho for authentic Ramen love.

GSK pushes for more quality time with the family with five times faster (Paracetamol) Panadol®

For Filipinos, family comes first, that is why when pain strikes, quality time with the family is the first to suffer. The brand trusted all over the world puts the power to take away the pain in your hands with fast-acting (Paracetamol)

Panadol®—for quicker recovery and more time for the ones you love. Panadol provides fast-acting pain relief, helping Filipinos improve their day to day lives

Panadol advocates the importance of having pain-free moments with loved ones, and sharing this message together with Panadol is father/athlete/host Ryan Agoncillo

Manila, 19 March 2015 –GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the global leading healthcare company commits itself on improving the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer with (paracetamol) Panadol® as the world’s trusted pain reliever, sold in more than 85 countries.

Panadol with Optizorb® is a type of paracetamol caplet that works five times faster than regular formulation. It contains the same amount of paracetamol (500 mg) found in Panadol, so you can feel confident in its ability to relieve pain such as headache and fever.

“Seven out of 10 Filipinos suffer from regular headaches. The time wasted on dealing with this kind of pain should have been better spent on more important things like quality time with the family,” says Jeoffrey Yulo, General Manager – Consumer Healthcare, GSK Philippines. “This dilemma encourages GSK to continue providing a fast and effective solution like Panadol to pain sufferers.  What makes Panadol with Optizorb® truly different from other branded and generic paracetamol products is that it is the only product to contain Optizorb®, which has revolutionized the way paracetamol tablets are dispersed in the body, so it allows paracetamol to reach the bloodstream more quickly and be carried to where it acts to fight pain, five times faster.”

This year, Panadol brings more focus to help take away the pain for faster recovery and more super moments with the ones you love. Bringing this life-affirming message to the fore is father/athlete/host Ryan Agoncillo, together with his son Lucho. Ryan is known to be a dedicated father to his children – Yohan and Lucho – and spends as much time as he can with his family.

As a sportsman who is into motorcycles and triathlons, Ryan is no stranger to aches and pain. But he doesn’t let any kind of discomfort like headache get in the way of a quality time with his equally energetic son, making their moments together pain-free. But whenever pain or headache strikes, he puts his trust on Panadol. And like a true superhero, he has the power of quick recovery in the eyes of his son.

“My family is my top priority. Even if I get busy with work and my other pursuits, I make sure that I get to spend quality with my wife and my kids. But, sometimes, because of my workload, I suffer from terrible headaches,” Ryan relates. “Fortunately, there’s Panadol. It offers fast relief to make my super moments with my family pain-free! Indeed, when pain is gone, life takes its place.”

(Paracetamol) Panadol® with Optizorb® comes in 36 x 10s dispenser box and a 10s pack. Each tablet has an SRP of PHP 4.00 and is available at all leading drugstores nationwide.
